How does an auto-renewing subscription work?

A subscription is a recurring payment agreement. This means the system will automatically process the charge each cycle (monthly, annually, etc.) so that you don't lose access to your benefits. This agreement remains active until an explicit cancellation is made.

Actions That DO NOT Cancel Your Subscription

It is very important to know that certain actions, even if they seem final, do not stop automatic charges. This is because the subscription is linked to the payment system, not just to your use of the account or the application.

  • Logging Out: This only closes your session temporarily. Your account and subscription remain active.

  • Deleting the App from Your Device: Uninstalling the app is like throwing away your TV without canceling your cable plan. The service is still contracted, and the payments will continue.

  • Deleting Your User Account: This is the most common point of confusion, and we want to clarify it with special emphasis.


Emphasis: Canceling a Subscription is NOT the Same as Deleting an Account

This is the fundamental difference you need to know:

  • Canceling the Subscription: This is the action of telling the payment system: "Please do not charge me again starting from the next billing cycle." Once canceled, you can continue to use the service until the period you have already paid for ends.

  • Deleting the Account: This is the action of telling our platform: "I want to delete my profile, my data, and my history." This action does NOT notify the payment system to stop the charges, so the subscription could remain active.

To ensure no further charges are made, you should always first cancel your subscription and only then, if you wish, proceed to delete your account.
